Pascan Aviation “pauses” service in Kingston

The YGK Airport has announced that Pascan Aviation will be pausing flights from Kingston, starting January 6, 2023.

Pascan Aviation initially began offering passenger service to Kingston in March 2022 and since September, has offered twice daily flights between Kingston and Montreal. The airline currently has an interline partnership with Air Transat, offering connecting flights at Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.

However, difficulty with coordinating with Canada’s largest airline, Air Canada, has caused customer service issues for the carrier. Air Canada has not been partnered with YGK Airport since it suspended flights in 2020 amid the COVID-19 Pandemic.

“Forward bookings on Pascan are not where they need to be,” explains Aron Winterstein, YGK Airport Manager. “This is not an issue with safety or support from our partners and residents.  Currently, travellers cannot book directly on the Air Canada website, use Aeroplan points for bookings or speak with an Air Canada booking agent. and we are pausing service until those levels of high level of customer service can be met.”

Travellers can book travel from YGK/Kingston to YUL/Montreal through January 6, 2023, by visiting the Pascan Aviation website to take advantage of the $99 seat sale offered in December.
