Kingston School of Art finds new home at Providence Village

Last Updated on September 17, 2025 by YGK News Staff

After months of uncertainty following the decision to give up their location at the corner of Princess St. and Victoria St., the Kingston School of Art (KSOA) has found a new home.

The community arts hub is preparing to relocate later this month to Providence Village at 1200 Princess St., joining other organizations like Girls Inc. Limestone, the H’art Centre, and Independent Living Centre Kingston. The move will give KSOA more accessible classrooms, dedicated space for its printmaking presses, and opportunities for collaboration with other non-profits.

“It’s just that perfect timing that you never get in working with non-profit organizations,” said KSOA board member Rob Hosier. “They came to us in the purest sense of community.”

KSOA expects to ease into fall programming once the move is complete and is inviting volunteers to join in this new chapter.
