On Wednesday March 3rd, KFLA Public Health declared an outbreak at Tiny Hoppers, a childcare service at 375 Select Drive. To date, eight cases are linked to the outbreak at Tiny Hoppers. KFLA Public Health has not detailed how many children and staff has been affected.
In a statement made on their Facebook page, Tiny Hoppers confirmed the outbreak and said that all members and staff deemed risk have been notified directly. “Clients and staff deemed to be at risk are being contacted directly by KFL&A Public Health. All those that have been deemed high risk are self-isolating at home,” the statement said.
“We have chosen to temporarily close the centre for a minimum of 14 days to ensure the health and safety of our staff, clients and their families,” they added.
Tiny Hoppers head office reiterated that they are committed to working closely with KFL&A Public Health. “We care deeply about our families and our staff and we hope that everyone stays safe. We look forward to serving our families in the future.”
