Positive COVID-19 case confirmed at The Spot Nightclub

KFL&A Public Health has confirmed that there has been a positive COVID-19 case at The Spot Nightclub at 155 Division Street, Kingston. 

Dr. Piotr Oglaza, Medical Officer of Health at KFL&A Public Health is asking individuals who attended The Spot Nightclub between October 31st and November 1st to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19.

Additionally, KFL&A Public Health officials recommend that any individuals affected by this exposure get tested on or after seven days from the exposure date, or November 7, 2021.

 “As part of the COVID-19 case management and contact tracing process, KFL&A Public Health follows up with close contacts of individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19,” said KFL&A Public Health. 

“If the contact tracing team are unable to identify close contacts of an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19, a public release may be issued to reach those contacts.”

There are currently 84 active COVID-19 cases in the region and 4 active outbreaks.
