Kingston Police have cleared a woman after she came forward and identified herself to officers. Police had suspected that she took magazine loaded with ammunition after finding it on the ground.
“The woman spoke with investigators and it has been verified she did not pick up the missing firearms magazine,” wrote Kingston Police on Tuesday.
Police now say that the magazine with ammunition in it has been recovered and have confirmed that she didn’t pick up the missing magazine.
“The magazine with ammunition has since been recovered, there are no further public safety concerns, and no charges are pending in regards to the missing police property,” Police added.
They are still seeking information with regards to an assault involving a police officer who had been hit with a bottle by an individual partaking in St. Patrick’s Day events.
