Bachelor finalist Kaity Biggar visited Kingston this week, where she made a special stop at her Alma Mater, St. Lawrence College (SLC).
The Kingston woman is one of two finalists on the ABC reality TV show “The Bachelor.” The 27th season of the show follows Zach Shallcross as he finds love and hopefully a new life partner among 30 women from across North America.
According to the college, 28-year old Kaitlyn “Kaity” Biggar is a dual SLC graduate from its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program in 2019 and of the college’s Pre-Health Science program in 2014.
On paper, Kaity holds a degree from Laurentian University. At the time, SLC had a joint partnership with Laurentian University, where students were instructed at the college but received a degree conferred by Laurentian University. Due to a provincial change in legislation, St. Lawrence College can now confer nursing degrees and offers a standalone BScN in Nursing.
In the lead up to the finale, the college has been organizing regular Bachelor watch parties at its St. Larry’s Pub in Kingston and on its Brockville and Cornwall campuses.
However, on March 22nd, Biggar, made a special stop at her alma mater to reunite with faculty and staff.
“SLC Nursing alumna/finalist on The Bachelor, Kaity Biggar, was in her hometown of Kingston, ON and stopped by her alma mater, St. Lawrence College, last night. We’ll be cheering for Kaity at our tri-campus The Bachelor watch parties on Monday, March 27, at 8 pm. Join us!,” SLC Alumni posted on March 24th.
Biggar also made a special visit to St. Larry’s pub staff who have been hosting the Bachelor finale watch parties for St. Lawrence College students, staff and alumni.
“St. Larry’s Pub staff welcomed The Bachelor finalist and SLC grad, Kaity Biggar, at the pub, where one of the tri-campus The Bachelor finale watch parties will take place on Monday, March 27, at 8 pm. We’re all rooting for you, Kaity!,” SLC Alumni posted on March 24th.
