Kingston residents will have the opportunity to hear from Karina Gould, a candidate for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada, as she brings her campaign to the city this Wednesday, January 29th.
Gould announced her intention to run for the position on January 18th and has promised to rebuild the party, while standing up for Canadian values, job creation and the economy.
“She’s ready to stand up for Canada, our economy, jobs, and our values,” her campaign team stated in an email to Liberal voters.
The Burlington MP has held a number of roles since her election in 2015, including Minister of Democratic Institutions, Minister for International Development, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, and most recently Government House leader.
Kingston residents who are interested in engaging with Gould and discussing the future direction of the Liberal Party can attend the event on Wednesday at 6 PM. Location will be announced those who RSVP’d to attend.
Members of the Liberal Party of Canada will vote for a new leader on March 9th.
