KHSC announces appointment of Clinical Chair in Breast Health

Kingston Health Sciences Centre has announced that Dr. Doris Jabs will be taking on the transformative role of Clinical Chair in Breast Health.

A multi-year $1 million fundraising pledge from the annual Rose of Hope ladies golf tournament has made the new position possible, starting off strong with their 27th annual event raising $285,000.

Dr. Jabs is a Women’s Imaging radiologist with more than two decades of experience, the Regional Breast Imaging Lead for the Ontario Breast Screening Program, and one of the driving forces behind the creation of KHSC’s Breast Imaging Kingston (BIK).

“This is going to be all about the women, the people that we serve,” Dr. Jabs stated in an interview with CFRC. “It’s going to be about making their journey quicker, simpler, hopefully less anxiety-laden together.”
