Queen’s University mourns loss of third-year student Jack Donovan Quipp

The Queen’s community is mourning the loss of third-year student Jack Donovan Quipp, who passed away on October 25th at the age of 20.

Quipp was born in Guelph, Ontario on March 3rd, 2001, and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in St. Thomas, Ontario. He was in his third year of Mining Engineering at Queen’s University.

Family and friends say Quipp had an amazing spirit, was intelligent and was loved by all around him.

Quipp is the Beloved son of Adam and Janina (Wrobel) Quipp. He’s the dearly loved brother of Eadie Quipp and cherished grandson of Stan and Ann Wrobel and Ron Quipp and Mary McBain (John).

A funeral service will be held for Quipp at the Williams Funeral Home in St. Thomas on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021 at 11:00am. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 1st from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm.

Memorial donations in Jack’s memory may be made to Canadian Mental Health Association.
