Multiple confirmed COVID-19 cases temporarily closes The Spot Nightclub

The Spot Nightclub has made the preemptive decision to close its doors this weekend after multiple positive cases of COVID-19 have been linked to their establishment on the evening of October 31st.

On November 8th, The Spot told YGK News that additional positive COVID-19 cases were identified.

“At this point, we have been notified regarding two individuals that were at the Spot on Halloween evening. We are currently in the process of encouraging staff members and customers to complete rapid testing,” the establishment owner told YGK News on Monday.

By Tuesday, a press release confirmed that several positive cases were identified.

KFL&A Public Health now recommends that individuals who attended The Spot Nightclub on the following dates get tested for COVID-19:

  • October 29, from 10 p.m. to October 30, 3 a.m.
  • October 30, from 10 p.m. to October 31, 3 a.m.
  • October 31, from 10 p.m. to November 1, 3 a.m.
  • November 4, from 10 p.m. to November 5, 3 a.m.
  • November 5, from 10 p.m. to November 6, 3 a.m.
  • November 6, from 10 p.m. to November 7, 3 a.m.

An outbreak was declared at a “food and beverage” establishment on Monday, but neither The Spot nor KFLA Public Health would confirm the outbreak is connected to The Spot. There are currently 5 cases associated with the food and beverage location.

However, owner Jordan West told YGK News that they would take initiative and close their doors for the upcoming weekend if an outbreak were declared.

“If there is an outbreak declared from the Spot we would take the initiative and close our doors for this upcoming weekend to ensure all staff have been tested at the right time by an official testing facility to guarantee the safety of our customers,” owner Jordan West told YGK News.

According to a statement by the establishment, The Spot will reopen on November 18th.

More to come.
