St. Lawrence College has been informed by KFL&A Public Health that a student has tested positive for COVID-19 within its residences. In a statement today, SLC acknowledged the positive case and are following their established protocols.
“Following established protocols, SLC continues to work closely with KFL&A Public Health, who are investigating and conducting contact tracing,” the college said in a statement.
At this time the college believes that there is minimal risk of exposure to others living in the residence community. “Unless contacted by KFL&A Public Health, people do not need to consider themselves exposed,” the college said.
The college asks those who have questions or concerns to contact the SLC COVID-19 response team at covid@sl.on.ca.
There were 14 new cases of COVID-19 today. This is the highest the region has seen since Binh’s Nail Salon outbreak in July.
